About Godwit Films

Godwit Films has produced work across a range of formats including drama, documentary, and advertising. We love bringing together a team and resources to tell stories that will touch people, no matter the format or platform.

Past productions include a number of short films including the award-winning I’m Going to Mum’s which premiered at the Berlinale. This film reflects our ideal of entertaining audiences while touching on a social issue. Our short documentary Gina focused on the issue of voluntary euthanasia and was made a Vimeo staff pick. Godwit Films partnered with Torchlight Films to produce their third feature Great Maiden’s Blush which won awards for Best Independent Feature and Actress at the NZ Film and Television Awards.
